Scripture alone is our source of truth. I believe that with all my heart and soul. Therefore, I aim for my preaching to present the pure truth of Scripture, with as little of “me” mixed in as possible. A pastor friend of mine told me that a member of his church said he attends the service each Sunday in need of a fresh word from God. That’s what we all need, and that’s what I always ask God to enable me to provide.
